I LOVE LIFE! I always have; and I've tried to live it to the full. At times, too much, at times dragged down by all the things surrounding me.

I was born in Adelaide 61 years ago, but when I turned 20 the Australian Government decided that they needed my services in the Army and there I stayed for the next 23 years. I retired in the rank of Major and proceeded to build a scuba diving empire. Well, not exactly an empire; more like a village. Anyway, my aspirations took me to Rochester, New York where I froze for 5 years before returning to Australia where, after a stint living in Collaroy in Sydney's Northern Beaches (wonderful little village by the ocean), I moved to Nelson Bay, NSW to begin a 'seachange' of enormous proportions. Here I am, here I will stay and here I will be fulfilled with all the joy I can possibly muster; enough even to share around with others.

I have five Children and 12 Grandchildren, all whom I love dearly. Two of my children live in the USA, but, with the grace of God, one of them will be joining me soon.

I want to be happy, and I want all those around me to be happy. If I can have a hand in that - all will be well in my world.

Dean is a Sports and Remedial Therapist with a busy practice in Nelson Bay. In addition, he teaches scuba and technical diving at the instructor level and also teaches at Gracegrove College, a natural therapies college in Newcastle. In his 'spare' time he is an active member of Birubi Point Surf Lifesaving Club, bike rides and runs on the beach - 'to talk to God'.
