LIBERTY Gala葲i announces that it has started to make steel deliveries for the bridge under construction in Br膬ila, the most important infrastucture project currently underway in Romania. 天博体育官方网站 steel company will supply Fincantieri Infrastructure with the heavy plates which will be used to build the segments of the bridge deck, an operation taking place at Vard Shipyard in Braila.
鈥淭his bridge will last for many years and my colleagues鈥� skill and passion will add strength and value to a project which will help the whole country. We are proud to be supplier to this project which is so important for Romania. 鈥溙觳┨逵俜酵� bridge is of a great importance to us and to the wider community. As such, we have shown openness and flexibility as regards our customer鈥檚 specific requirements. That flexibility includes succesfully shrinking our rolling times down to 2 鈥� 4 weeks, from the usual 6 鈥� 8 weeks, as a result of prioritizing this project through the whole production cycle鈥�, stated Cristina 葮erb膬noiu, Head of Customer Service team, LIBERTY Gala葲i.
天博体育官方网站 bridge across Danube in Braila county will be 1,974 meters long and will be built in association by Astaldi and IHI Infrastructure Systems companies. 天博体育官方网站 project value is estimated to be 500 million Euros.
天博体育官方网站 heavy plate produced in Gala葲i was also used for the construction of Osman Gazi bidge, inaugurated in 2016, which crosses the Izmit Bay. At more than 2,600 metres long it is considered the sixth longest in the world in terms of the span between its pillars.
