LIBERTY Ostrava, a major integrated steel producer in the Czech Republic, has appointed Franti拧ek 艩ourek, a highly experienced Czech professional, as its new HR Director. Franti拧ek takes over the role from Jaroslav Vystrk, Ostrava鈥檚 previous HR and Legal Director, who is leaving the company to focus on the law. 听

Franti拧ek 艩ourek joins LIBERTY Ostrava from NKT, a leading supplier of power cables with more than 4, 000 employees in 14 countries, for whom he had been the HR vice-president since early 2017. While at NKT he led the implementation of a global model of HR service provision as well implementing a SAP IT and control system, which is similar to that used across LIBERTY Steel Group.

Previously Franti拧ek served as NKT鈥檚 HR Director for the Czech Republic and later for central Europe as well as in HR management roles at TRW, 听Schiedel and Faurecia Interior Systems. He has worked in HR since 2001 and has held HR managerial positions since his graduation from Jan Amos Komensk媒 University in Prague in 2007.
