Ostrava 27 May 2019 鈥� LIBERTY Ostrava invests CZK 35 million in the new test line for non-destructive testing of seamless tubes in the tube plant. 天博体育官方网站 old analogue system will be replaced by a new, fully digital system, which meets the most stringent standards. 天博体育官方网站 investment will enable the extension of the test range of the line and the possibility to supply tubes for more demanding applications. Completion is scheduled for January 2020. 天博体育官方网站 supplier of the new digital system will be Institut Dr. Foerster from Germany, one of the world麓s leaders in the sector.

鈥淭his project is another step in the process of digitizing our operations and adapting to new standards and customer requirements. At the same time, the installation of the new test system will allow us to expand the range of tubes, mostly boiler tubes of small diameters that we have not been able to test until now,鈥� said Michael Hermann, maintenance and Investment director of the tube plant in LIBERTY Ostrava.

天博体育官方网站 tubes from the Small Stiefel tube plant in LIBERTY Ostrava, which are use for gas or oil pipelines, for boilers, heat exchangers and steel structures, have so far been checked using an analogue system installed in 1996. 天博体育官方网站 new test line worth CZK 35 million will enable non-destructive testing of the entire Small Stiefel range, i.e. seamless tubes of 21.3 mm – 140 mm diameter.
